We are so happy to be moving closer to our opening date! We’ve been working hard on making our salon an extremely safe and comfortable place for you. Things will be different on your next visit so please take a moment to read this so that you know what to expect. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we take these extra precautions for the safety of our clients as well as our staff.

 

Our number one priority in reopening Salon Amour is to keep our salon family – both our guests and team – safe and healthy. We are doing this by going above and beyond our strict state requirements, CDC guidelines, and California State Board Regulations.

 

IMPORTANT: IF you have been exposed to, or have been in close contact with, someone who tested positive for COVID-19 within two weeks prior to your scheduled appointment at Salon Amour, please cancel your appointment. Our staff will be happy to reschedule your appointment for a later date. Also, if you are exhibiting any symptoms – such as cough, fever, or shortness of breath – please stay at home and reschedule for a later date.

 

What you can expect on your next visit:

  • Please arrive at least five minutes early for your appointment. Guests that arrive more than 10 minutes late may be required to reschedule due to extra sanitation precautions that need to be taken in between seeing guests.
  • Upon arriving at Salon Amour, please stay in your car and send a text with your name to 925-957-4561 to let us know you have arrived. Then please visit our Wellness Check area outside the front entrance.
  • We will take your temperature and do a quick wellness check. Anyone with a fever (<100°F) will not be permitted to enter the salon, and your appointment will be rescheduled 14 days out.
  • Our waiting area will be unavailable, so we ask that you only enter the salon once we let you know it is safe to do so.
  • We will require all our guests to wear masks. Given our close proximity during appointments, there will be no exceptions.
  • Personal belongings will be limited to what you can hold in your hand. Do not bring large bags, jackets, or beverages. We cannot store your items in a cabinet or closet during services.
  • The only people allowed in the salon are guests with appointments. Please make other arrangements for children and anyone else that would normally accompany you.

For your safety, we will be taking these extra precautions:

  • Stylist workstations have been moved to allow for proper social distancing. Plexiglass barriers have been installed at the front desk and between shampoo bowls.
  • Pre-service shampoos are temporarily unavailable. If you are receiving a haircut service only, please arrive with clean, dry hair.
  • All blow-dry services are temporarily unavailable.
  • All the extra pampering that we love to provide for you at Salon Amour (beverages, snacks, magazines, hand and scalp massages, taking your coats, ring cleaning, etc.) will not be offered at this time. We hope for their return very soon!
  • Salon Amour is professionally deep cleaned throughout the week. In addition, we will be sanitizing high contact surfaces every hour. As always, capes are washed, and all tools are sanitized between each guest.
  • We will continue to offer our Take-Home Color Kits for guests that are high-risk or prefer to stay home.
